In a gas-blast switch with a compression device (10) to produce a quenching gas blast, in order to make the magnetic effect of the break current available already at the beginning of the cut-off movement, an energy accumulator (37) in the form of a compression chamber (34) with a piston/cylinder system (32, 6, 36) is provided. Its movable element (32) is mechanically linked with an armature (23, 24), which is axially moved by the magnetic field of a stator (29), which field is excited by the break current. The armature (23, 24) and the stator (29) are arranged in such a way that the magnetic field already causes the armature to move in the cut- in position (38).

Commutateur électrique à gaz comprimé équipé d'un appareil de compression (10) destiné à produire un flux de gaz d'extinction. Afin de pouvoir utiliser l'effet magnétique du courant de rupture, dès le début du mouvement de mise hors circuit, on emploie un accumulateur d'énergie (17) sous forme d'une chambre de compression (34) avec un système piston-cylindre (32; 6, 36). L'élément amovible de ce système est accouplé mécaniquement à un induit (23, 24) actionné dans l'axe par le champ magnétique généré dans un stator (29) par un courant de rupture. L'induit (23, 24) et le stator (29) sont disposés de façon à permettre au champ magnétique de placer l'induit en position de mise en circuit.
