The swivel connector is adapted to have unlimited rotation about the swivel axis, permitting the user to utilize the suction hose and wand of the vacuum cleaner in any position circumferentially about the canister. The swivel connector includes electrical power transfer structure for providing electrical power therethrough from the canister to electrical conductors carried by the hose and wand for use in energizing the nozzle brush motor or the like. In the illustrated embodiment, the electrical connection structure includes slip rings and cooperating sliders connected to a power receptacle mounted to the swivel member.
