Abstract of the Disclosure An electrically insulating wire coating material com- prises the reaction product of a mixture of polyvinyl acetal, phenol aldehyde resin and epoxy resin in a particu- lar range of proportions. The mixture is formed into a powder for applying to a wire without the use of solvents, the coated wire being heated to harden the applied coating.
