An electrical machine with a laminated core (102) carrying a winding is disclosed, the laminated core having slots, there being arranged at each frontal end face of the laminated core an electrically insulating end plate (108) adjacent which lie winding heads (106, 107) of the winding (105). Combined with a simplified manufacture, a machine of this kind is intended to have an improved reliability. To that end, at least one of the end plates (108) has a connecting box (109) into which the ends of the windings (105) and electrical terminal wires are introduced.
