ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrical outlet box for renovation type work has key hole apertures at top corners of side walls, and end walls with notched tongues to fit in the key hole apertures so the box meets strength requirements to prevent the sides from separating. The outlet box can be clamped to a partition wall and comprises a sheet metal container having two side wall portions integral with a back wall portion, pivoting end wall portions, each having a notched tongue, at each side to engage in key hole openings in top corners of the two side wall portions, the end wall portion pivoting inwards about the key hole openings; flanges extending at right angles from the top of the end wall portions, and fins connected to the flanges by screws so that a partition wall may be clamped between the flanges and the fins.
