A method of generating electrical power in which a synthesis gas stream generated in a gasifier is combusted in an oxygen transport membrane system of a boiler. The combustion generates heat to raise steam to in turn generate electricity by a generator coupled to a steam turbine. The resultant flue gas can be purified to produce a carbon dioxide product.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'énergie électrique dans lequel un courant de gaz de synthèse produit dans un gazéifieur est brûlé dans un système à membrane de transport d'oxygène d'une chaudière. La combustion produit de la chaleur afin de générer de la vapeur, qui à son tour, produit de l'électricité au moyen d'un générateur couple à une turbine à vapeur. Le gaz d'évacuation obtenu peut être purifié de manière à produire un produit de dioxyde de carbone.
