The field of the invention concerns heating or cooking appliances. The cooking appliance comprises a casing (2) enclosing an integrated fixed or removable cooking receptacle (1) and heating means thermally connected to the cooking receptacle (1), means (30) for detecting, firstly, whether the cooking receptacle (1) is substantially empty and, in this case, opening the electrical supply circuit of the heating means, and, secondly, for detecting whether the cooking receptacle (1) is filled so as to attain the predefined minimum weight, and, in this case, closing the electrical supply circuit of the heating means. According to the invention, the detection means (30) are operable by placing the cooking receptacle (1) in the casing, and by closing the lid (3).

L'invention concerne un appareil de cuisson comprenant un bâti (2) dans lequel sont intégrés une cuve (1), fixe ou amovible, destinée à la cuisson d'aliments et des moyens de chauffe en relation thermique avec la cuve (1), des moyens de détection (30) aptes d'une part à détecter si la cuve (1) est sensiblement vide et dans ce cas à ouvrir le circuit d'alimentation électrique des moyens de chauffe, et d'autre part à détecter si la cuve (1) est remplie de manière à atteindre un poids minimum préétabli, pour dans ce cas fermer le circuit d'alimentation électrique des moyens de chauffe. Conformément à l'invention, les moyens de détection (30) sont susceptibles d'être actionnés d'une part par la cuve (1) lorsque cette dernière est en place dans le bâti et d'autre part par le couvercle (3), lorsque ce dernier est refermé.
