An electrical lockout mechanism (1) is connected between a power source, and a power input terminal of an electrical machine including a manually operated switch. A switching element of said electrical lockout mechanism (1) receives a control signal and is adapted to selectively complete and break an electrical connection between the power source and the machine in reponse to said control signal and under a first and second set operating conditions in a manner that prevents unwanted machine restarts. The electrical lockout mechanism (1) can be integrated with a power cord that delivers electrical power to the machine or can be integrated into the machine itself.
Cette invention concerne un mécanisme de verrouillage électrique (1) connecté entre une source de courant et une borne d'entrée électrique sur une machine électrique, avec interrupteur à commande manuelle. Un élément de commutation dudit mécanisme de verrouillage électrique (1) reçoit un signal de commande qui lui fait fermer et couper une connexion électrique entre la source d'électricité et la machine, conformément à un premier et un second ensemble de conditions de marche, de manière à empêcher une remise en marche intempestive de ladite machine. Le mécanisme de verrouillage électrique (1) peut être intégré soit au câble d'alimentation électrique de la machine, soit à la machine elle-même.
