A method of removing particulate solids from an oil based drilling or completion fluid (1) is disclosed. The method involves exposing the fluid to an electric field to electrically migrate particulate solids suspended therein, and collecting the migrated particulate solids to remove them from the fluid.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'éliminer les solides particulaires contenus dans un liquide de forage ou de complétion à base d'huile. Selon ledit procédé, il est prévu d'exposer ledit liquide à l'action d'un champ électrique, afin de faire migrer par voie électrique les solides en suspension dedans, et de recueillir les solides particulaires qui ont migré, pour les éliminer du liquide.
