It is a tool to help when installing small electrical conductors in conduits. By attaching this tool to the leading end of the conductors or fish tape and filling the outer spring with lubricant, it will realease the lubricant as the tool is pushed. If the tool hits a bend or an obstruction the inner spring is compressed when the plunger is forced along the inside of the outer spring, lubricant is then forced out of the lead end nipple therefore making the bend in the conduit slippery allowing the conductors or fish tape to travel on to the end of the conduit.
