ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Electrical conductivity excellent for an electrically-conductive heating element can be provided by uniformly dispersing, in a matrix made of a ceramic or the like, foliated fine graphite particles having a particle size of 1-100 mm, a thickness not greater than 1 mm and an aspect ratio of 10-5,000. The heating ele- ment is suitable for use as a ceramic heater.
