Abstract of the Disclosure An electrically heating reactor having less chance of leakage of current and of short circuiting is provided in which an electrically conductive inner tube and an electrically conductive outer tube are placed in mutually insulated relationship except for their connected end parts. One end of the inner tube is electrically connected with one end of the outer tube inside the reactor, and the other ends of the inner and the outer tubes are provided with terminals, respectively, both of which are positioned outside thereacross the reactor in such a way that the inner and the outer tubes form an electric circuit for an alternating voltage applied thereupon to form a heating element. The inner tube is used mainly as a feeding route for reaction raw material to the reactor and the generated heat of the inner tube is used mainly for heating the reaction raw material and the generated heat of the outer tube is used mainly for heating the reactor content around the outer tube.
