ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrically insulating pipe coupling comprising a tubular metal sleeve in which are inserted so as to provide its perfect insulation, two tubular metal members which constitue the duct of the joint and having both a flared end, for example a flanged one, being the two opposite ends spaced by a spacing insulating and sealing member, and by force compressed on this latter by metal or elements connected in a suitable way to the tubular metal sleeve and finally being said metal blocking elements electrically insulated from the abovementioned tubular members, by means of rigid insulating elements, characterized by the fact that the insulating spacer which spaces the ends of the tubular metal members which constitue the duct of the joint has only the purpose to provide the electrical insulation, so it can be realized in a very rigid material at a very high compression stress and that the flared or however shaped end of each tubular members is strictly connected to the abovesaid insulating spacer or however inserted into it, so as we can achieve over the coupling itself, among the tubular member of the joint, the tubular metal sleeve in which is comprised this latter and the insulating and sealing member an annular groove in which is located tightly compressed a sufficiently elastic sealing gasket so as to perform a perfect sealing along an extremely reduced line of mechanical gap, being said blocking and sealing member formed by an insulat- ing sleeve ending at one side in a surface determined by a plane or suitably shaped section so as to perform in any case the sealing assembly on the aforesaid coupling and at the other side in a surface determined by a truncated-cone section on which will be tightly compressed and flanged down the end of the tubular metal sleeve containing the entire embodiment.
