ABSTRACT An electrically operated heating element is provided for a hot runner mould with a heating conductor disposed in the hot runner and in sprue channels branching off from the hot runner and leading to a series of outlet openings of the hot runner mould. The heating conductor is designed as a flat body and is provided on the side facing the outlet openings with projecting tongues, each of which extend into the area of an outlet opening. The free end of each tongue is designed as a point, and the tongues are made in one piece with the flat body.
