A fitting formed as a welding sleeve has, preferably, two heating elements and is provided in the region of the plug contacts with a plate which can be inserted into a recess. On the plate is arranged a resistor and the connections for measuring the ohmic resistance by means of a welding apparatus. By measuring the resistance, the type of the fitting can be identified and the current to be fed to the welding apparatus determined.

Un raccord en forme de manchon à souder, comportant, de préférence, deux éléments chauffants et pourvu d'une plaque, à proximité des contacts à fiche, que l'on peut introduire dans une cavité du raccord. Sur la plaque, sont disposées une résistance et les connexions nécessaires pour mesurer la résistance ohmique au moyen d'un appareil à souder. La mesure de la résistance permet de déterminer le type de raccord utilisé ainsi que le courant à fournir à l'appareil à souder.
