ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A suspended ceiling comprises a grid-like structure formed from interconnected longitudinal and transverse struts defining open spaces in which ceiling panels, lighting troffers, air supply fittings and the like can be removably supported. Electrical supply cables are provided in at least some of the longitudinal struts and connected to receptacles mounted on the top surfaces of those struts for the distribution of electricity to lighting fixtures or the like.
