ABSTRACT : "Electro-acoustic transducer comprising a diaphragm which is permeable to air". An electro-acoustic transducer is provided with a diaphragm (1) and with means for shifting the high- frequency roll-off of the frequency-response characteristic of the transducer towards lower frequencies. These means utilize the step of making the diaphragm (1) permeable to air, the permeability to air over the entire surface area of the diaphragm being such that at least a passage of 50 litres of air per second per square metre is ob- tained for a pressure difference of 200 Pa (= 200 N/m2) on each side of the diaphragm (Fig. 1).
