An electro-dynamic inertial vibration exciter (1) for exciting a member (2) having capability to sustain and propagate input vibrational energy comprising a motor coil assembly (3, 4) having a coil (3) rigidly fixed to a tubular coil former member (4), a magnet assembly (5, 6, 7) disposed concentrically with respect to the motor coil assembly, and means (11) suspending the magnet assembly for axial movement relative to the motor coil assembly, characterised by a carrier (9) supporting the motor coil assembly (3, 4) and adapted for connection to the member (2) to be excited.
La présente invention concerne un excitateur (1) électrodynamique inertiel de vibrations destiné à exciter un élément (2) capable de soutenir et de propager une énergie vibratoire d'entrée. Ledit excitateur (1) comprend un ensemble moteur à bobine (3, 4) composé d'une bobine (3) fixée de façon rigide sur un élément tubulaire (4) corps de bobine, un ensemble aimant (5, 6, 7) placé concentrique par rapport à l'ensemble moteur à bobine, et des moyens (11) permettant de suspendre l'ensemble aimant de manière qu'il effectue un mouvement axial par rapport à l'ensemble moteur à bobine; il est caractérisé par un support (9) soutenant l'ensemble moteur à bobine (3, 4) et est apte à être connecté à l'élément (2) à exciter.
