An opto-electric levelmeter having a sensor that provides an output signal whose frequency represents the surface level of liquid in a container. The sensor's circuitry includes an oscillation circuit that uses "optical feedback" to modulate the sensor output signal. The signal is delivered to a monitor that provides an output signal for the user. The monitor also permits adjustment for both high and low levels of a particular container. The monitor sends electrical energy to the sensor, and receives the sensor output signal on the same electrical link.

L'invention porte sur un limnimètre opto-électrique comportant un capteur qui génère un signal de sortie dont la fréquence représente le niveau du liquide dans un conteneur. Le circuit du capteur comprend un circuit d'oscillation qui utilise la <= rétroaction optique >= pour moduler le signal de sortie du capteur. Ce signal est envoyé à un moniteur qui affiche le signal de sortie à l'utilisateur. Le moniteur permet également d'ajuster les niveaux élevés et bas d'un conteneur spécifique. Le moniteur envoie le signal de sortie du capteur sur la même liaison électrique.
