A method for applying a protective coating to an electro-optical component includes positioning the electro-optical component in a chamber (step 32) and applying a coating composition (step 35) to at least one surface of the electro-optical component to form the protective coating thereon. The coating composition may include fluorinated poly (phenylene ether ketone) and an anti- reflection agent. The anti-reflection agent may include at least one of an inorganic salt, an organofunctionalized additive, and an erbium dopant, for example.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'application d'agent protecteur sur un composant électro-optique consistant à positionner le composant électro-optique dans une enceinte (étape 32) et à appliquer une composition de revêtement (étape 35) sur une des surfaces, au moins, du composant électro-optique afin de former le revêtement protecteur dessus. La composition de revêtement peut comprendre un poly(phénylène-éther-cétone) fluoré et un agent antireflet. L'agent antireflet peut être, par exemple, constitué d'au moins un sel inorganique, d'un additif à fonctionnalité organique et d'un dopant à l'erbium.
