Electro-optical voltage sensor to determine the voltage of a power line, comprising a voltage divider (1) connected to the power line and to a ground (15) and having two insulating compartments (2, 3) separated by an intermediary electrode (5) connected to a Pockels cell. The intermediate electrode (5) supplies a lower voltage to the Pockels cell than the voltage supplied by the power line to the voltage divider. Each insulating compartment (2, 3) is composed of a homogeneous dielectric block.
