An electro-osmotic flow system and method. The system includes a capillary tube having a resistive material layer on the interior surface of the tube. The resistive material layer is coupled to a voltage source to produce a potential drop across the layer. The resistive layer is in contact with a buffer fluid injected into the tube and provides a continuous potential drop which ensures uninterrupted electro-osmotic flow of the fluid in the capillary tube.
Système et procédé à écoulement électro-osmotique. Le système comprend un tube capillaire présentant une couche de matière résistive sur la surface intérieure du tube. La couche de matière résistive est couplée à une source de tension afin de produire une chute de potentiel dans la couche. La couche résistive est en contact avec un fluide tampon injecté dans le tube et procure une chute de potentiel continue assurant un écoulement électro-osmotique interrompu du fluide dans le tube capillaire.
