A brake control system for a railroad freight car having an electro-pneumatic brake controller in which a self-lapping valve assembly is operated by a constant spring load acting through a first class operating lever. An electric stepping motor under control of a microprocessor is employed to change the fulcrum point of the operating lever and thereby vary the ratio of the operating lever in order to obtain different braking pressures from the self-lapping valve assembly according to an electric control signal transmitted to the microprocessor.
Cette invention concerne un circuit de commande de freinage pour wagons de chemins de fer comportant un robinet de frein électropneumatique à fonction de mise au neutre automatique par pression à ressort déclenchée par un levier de classe supérieure. Un moteur électrique pas à pas commandé par microprocesseur sert à modifier le point d'appui du levier de manoeuvre et à varier ainsi le gain mécanique du levier pour obtenir du robinet de frein à mise au neutre automatique différentes pressions de freinage, en fonction du signal électrique de commande transmis au microprocesseur.
