An electroacoustic transducer which has at least one stator member (14, 16) with an operating surface (15, 17) and a suspended emitter diaphragm (12) spaced from the operating surface of the stator member to enable the diaphragm to oscillate in response to an applied signal voltage (19). The diaphragm has increased stiffness in a direction (31) along the diaphragm and within the emitter section to enable the emitter diaphragm to oscillate without applying tension in the direction of stiffness. A clamp member (22) secures the diaphragm to maintain the diaphragm in a fixed position relative to the stator to minimize distortion. The clamp member may be positioned to define several isolated emitter sections for enhancing the frequency response of the transducer.
L'invention concerne un transducteur électroacoustique comprenant au moins un stator (14, 16) pourvu d'une surface de fonctionnement (15, 17) et un diaphragme (12) d'émission suspendu, espacé de la surface de fonctionnement du stator, pour permettre audit diaphragme d'osciller en réponse à la tension (19) du signal appliqué. Le diaphragme présente une raideur accrue dans un sens (31) longitudinal au diaphragme et dans les limites de la section d'émission, de manière que le diaphragme puisse osciller sans appliquer de tension dans le sens de la raideur. Un élément (22) de serrage permet de fixer le diaphragme de façon à la maintenir en position fixe par rapport au stator afin de minimiser la distorsion. Cet élément de serrage peut être positionné de manière à définir plusieurs sections d'émission isolées, ce qui permet d'améliorer la réponse de fréquence du transducteur.
