The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus (10) for transmyocardial re-vascularization. The apparatus (10) includes an incision needle (20) for creating an incision within a patient's heart to define a channel, an electrocautery assembly operatively associated with the incision needle (20) for transferring thermal energy to an inner surface of the channel to reduce bleeding therefrom, and to prevent the channel from closing. Preferably, thermal energy is not transferred to the epicardium to create a flap or channel cap after the cylindrical incision needle (20) is removed from relevant tissue to reduce bleeding from the channel.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif (10) de revascularisation transmyocardique. Cet appareil (10) comporte une aiguille d'incision (20) et un bloc d'électrocautère. L'aiguille d'incision (20) sert à créer à l'intérieur du coeur du patient une incision définissant un canal. Le bloc d'électrocautère est fonctionnellement associé à l'aiguille d'incision (20) de façon à effectuer un transfert d'énergie thermique vers la surface intérieure du canal. Ce chauffage a pour objet de réduire les saignements se produisant sur cette surface intérieure et d'empêcher le canal de se fermer. De préférence, le transfert d'énergie thermique évite l'épicarde de façon à conserver, après retrait de l'aiguille d'incision cylindrique (20) du tissu traité, une languette ou une fermeture de canal permettant de réduire les saignements en provenance du canal.
