ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Electrochemically active alloys of aluminum with at least one of indium, gallium and thallium contain, for each 100 parts of aluminum at least 0.01 parts (W/W) of thallium and from 0.01 to 0.5 parts (W/W) of indium, gallium and thallium together where more than one of these elements is present, or from 0.01 to 0.5 parts (W/W) of thallium where it alone is present, and are useful for protecting corrodible materials against corrosion.
