ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electronic display apparatus includes a first transparent electrode, a second electrode arranged opposite to the first transparent electrode and an electric-responsive layer containing cyanine dye, interposed between the first transparent electrode and the second electrode. The color tone of the electric-responsive layer changes in response to electric field applied across the first transparent electrode and the second electrode.
