An electrocoagulation printing ink according to the present invention contains an electrolytically coagulable polymer, a soluble electrolyte, a pigment, a polyethyleneimine and a liquid medium. In accordance with such an arrangement, the ink according to the present invention can give a high quality printed material without causing scumming in a non-image area of a substrate. The printed material according to the present invention is printed acing the electrocoagulation printing ink according to the present invention. An electrocoagulation printing method according to the present invention is carried out using the electrocoagulation printing ink according to the present invention.
