ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An anode which includes a body which is made principally of lead or of aluminium with a 20 micron coating of an alloy of 95% lead, 5% silver on the body. The anode reduces lead ion migration through an electrolyte to a cathode during the electrowinning of zinc.
