The present invention provides an electrode array (1) for a medical implant device, comprising a substrate (2) supporting a plurality of electrodes (3), the substrate (2) comprising at least two layers of material including a first layer (4) and a second layer (5), wherein the first layer of material (4) and the second layer of material (5) have different coefficients of thermal expansion. The plurality of electrodes (3) may be supported on the first layer of material (4), and are preferably incorporated in and/ or project from the second layer of material (5). The second layer of material (5) may itself have a layered structure comprising multiple material layers (51, 52, 53), with the plurality of electrodes (3) incorporated within the said multiple material layers (51, 52, 53). The first layer of material (4) preferably has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the second layer of material (5). The invention furthermore provides a medical implant device (10) including an electrode array (1) according to the invention, and a method of manufacturing such an electrode array (1).
L'invention concerne un réseau d'électrodes (1) pour un dispositif d'implant médical, comprenant un substrat (2) supportant une pluralité d'électrodes (3). Le substrat (2) comporte au moins deux couches d'un matériau constitué dune première couche (4) et dune seconde couche (5), la première couche de matériau (4) et la seconde couche de matériau (5) présentant différents coefficients de dilatation thermique. La pluralité d'électrodes (3) peuvent être supportées sur la première couche de matériau (4), et sont de préférence incorporées dans la seconde couche de matériau (5) et/ou font saillie à partir de cette dernière. La seconde couche de matériau (5) peut elle-même présenter une structure stratifiée comprenant plusieurs couches de matériaux (50, 52, 53), la pluralité d'électrodes (3) étant incorporées au sein desdites plusieurs couches de matériaux (51, 52, 53). La première couche de matériau (4) présente de préférence un coefficient de dilatation thermique supérieur à celui de la seconde couche de matériau (5). L'invention concerne entre autres un dispositif d'implant médical (10) comprenant un réseau d'électrodes (1) selon la présente invention, et un procédé de fabrication d'un tel réseau d'électrodes (1).
