Disclosed is a physiological electrical signal connector system (20) with one connector (20a) connected to an electrode set (24) and another connector (20b) connected to a digital signal convertor (14) which leads to a patient monitor (10). Each type of electrode set has a specific code identified with it and when connected to the digital signal convertor (14), the connector code is recognized by the digital signal convertor. The connector code is then relayed to the monitor (10) which will self-configure based on the identified code.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif connecteur conçu (20) pour transmettre des signaux électriques physiologiques. Ledit dispositif comporte un connecteur (20a) relié à un jeu d'électrodes (24) et un connecteur (20b) relié à un convertisseur de signaux numériques (14) qui est relié à un appareil de surveillance (10) d'un patient. Chaque catégorie de jeu d'électrodes est associée à un code spécifique qui est reconnu par le convertisseur de signaux numériques lorsque lesdites électrodes sont reliées audit convertisseur (14). Ledit code est alors retransmis à l'appareil de surveillance (10), l'identification de ce code permettant ainsi l'auto-configuration dudit appareil.
