Abstract: An electrode glove for the application of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and whole-hand massage ("electro-masssage") or acupressure ("electro-acupressure") to patients In the preferred embodiment, an integrated insulated-electrode glove is comprised of an insulated shell with an optional moisture absorbant fabric liner and a single, easily-cleaned, electro-chemically inert electrode which is deposited as a coating covering the entire shell. The glove can be fabricated on a porcelain or metal glove form by coagulating a layer of conductive rubber over a layer of insulating rubber and attaching a connector capable of accepting the pin on the distal end of the lead wire of a TENS unit to the exterior surface of the electrode. In an alternate embodiment, the insulating shell and electrode gloves are coagulated separately so that the latter can be worn over the insulating glove or the integrated insulated-electrode glove and removed for disposal after use.
