ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for electroforming a metal grid preferably of nickel or copper capable of attenuating electromagnetic pulse effects is disclosed, as well as in an aircraft transparency containing such a grid. Nonlinear and nonorthogonal grid patterns are also disclosed, as well as the electroplating, preferably with tin and lead, of grids of any configuration to give them a non-glare coating. The transparency can be glass or a rigid plastic such as polycarbonate or an acrylic. It may be a laminate which includes a layer of polyvinyl butyral or a polyurethane.
