APPLICATION OF PAUL A. DIDDENS AND DEAN M. PETERSON ELECTROGRAPHIC RECORDING HEAD ABSTRACT A recording head for electrographic recording has a first and a second type of flat plate electrode arranged in a side-by-side relationship on an electrically insulating common support bar. A recording end of each electrode has a recording pin which is offset with respect to a centerline of the electrode which centerline coincides with a centerline of the common support bar. Accordingly, adjacent ones of the electrodes can be arranged to have staggered recording pins by positioning the adjacent electrodes in a 180° rotation sequence on the common support. The first type of electrode has an electrical connector terminal offset from the center- line of the electrode by a first distance while an electrical connection terminal on the second type of electrode is offset by a second distance whereby four electrical connector terminal locations may be selected by positioning corresponding ones of the first and second electrodes in a layered stack on the common support.
