PHF 77-503 ABSTRACT A display element constituted by an electro- luminescent diode and a light reflector having an oblong shape on the bottom of which the electroluminescent diode is disposed. The display element is characterized in that the reflector comprises two associated half- shells in a disposition producing a cavity on the bottom of which the said diode is fixed. Application is to linear rectilinear or curvilinear display devices.
