ABSTRACT ELECTROLYSIS APPARATUS An electrolysis apparatus is disclosed which com- prises an electrolytic cell, an anode assembly mounted in the cell and consisting of a plurality of insoluble anodes mounted between two copper busbars which are coated with a protective coating to prevent anodic dissolution, a cathode assembly also mounted in the cell, a porous membrane separa- ting the anode assembly from the cathode assembly to form an anolyte chamber and a catholyte chamber, and means for fee- ding material to be treated into the cell and removing the treated material from the cell.
