Disclosed is an electrolyte composition for photoelectric converters which contains a redox electrolyte pair, a room temperature molten salt and a nonionic organic solvent. This electrolyte composition for photoelectric converters is used as a charge-transporting layer in a photoelectric converter wherein a conductive support having a layer containing a dye-sensitized semiconductor and another conductive support having a counter electrode are arranged opposite to each other at a certain distance and a charge- transporting layer is sandwiched between the supports.

La présente invention concerne une composition d~électrolyte pour convertisseurs photoélectriques qui contient une paire d~électrolytes oxydoréducteurs, un sel fondant à température ambiante et un solvant organique non-ionique. Cette composition d~électrolyte pour convertisseurs photoélectriques est utilisée comme couche de transport de charge dans un convertisseur photoélectrique, un support conducteur comportant une couche contenant un semi-conducteur sensibilisé aux colorants et un autre support conducteur comportant une contre-électrode étant disposés à l~opposé l~un de l~autre à une certaine distance et une couche de transport de charge étant intercalée entre les supports.
