Disclosed is an electrolyte membrane which exhibits high ion conductivity even under high temperature no humidification conditions. Specifically disclosed is an electrolyte membrane comprising a complex oxoacid solid, which contains two or more kinds of oxoacid groups, hydrogen and at least one element selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, and a reinforcing material contained in the solid for improving the mechanical characteristics of the solid. The reinforcing material is composed of a polymer material or an inorganic material.

L~invention concerne une membrane électrolytique faisant preuve d~une conductivité ionique élevée même à température élevée et en l~absence d~humidification. L~invention concerne spécifiquement une membrane électrolytique comprenant un solide oxacide complexe, lequel contient au moins deux sortes de groupes oxacide, de l~hydrogène et au moins un élément choisi parmi Mg, Ca, Sr et Ba, ainsi qu~un matériau de renfort placé dans le solide et destiné à améliorer les caractéristiques mécaniques de celui-ci. Le matériau de renfort est constitué d~un polymère ou d~un matériau inorganique.
