An electrolytic cell (10) for generating a mixed oxidant that is rich in ozone is disclosed. The cell disassociates a brine solu- tion to generate ozone and chlorine based oxidants. The improved cell design allows the ratio of ozone to the other oxidants to be optimized, thereby providing a more efficient sterilization solution. The ozone production is adjusted by adjusting the residence time of the brine solution in the cell and the orientation of the cell.
Cellule d'électrolyse (10) pour la production d'un oxydant mixte riche en ozone. La cellule décompose une solution salée afin de produire de l'ozone et des oxydants à base de chlore. La configuration améliorée de la cellule permet d'optimiser le rapport entre l'ozone et les autres oxydants, et d'obtenir ainsi une solution stérilisante plus efficace. On peut réguler la production d'ozone en réglant le temps de séjour de la solution salée dans la cellule, ainsi que l'orientation de cette dernière.
