ELECTROLYTIC FINISHING METHOD Abstract of the Disclosure An electrode is positioned to form a predetermined gap between the electrode and a surface of a work, and the electrode and the work are submerged in an electrolyte. Thereafter pulses are applied to the electrode and clean electrolyte is supplied to the gap. A theoretical number of machining necessary for obtaining a desired machining depth is set and an actually cut depth machined on the surface of the work in accordance with the theoretical number is measured. The theoretical number of machining is changed based on the measured cut depth. Machining is further performed in accordance with the changed theoretical number of machining.
