ABSTRACT: An electromagnet comprising two cylindrical pole-shoes which are coaxially arranged one in the pro- longation of the other and which are magnetically separat- ed from each other by a magnetically non-conductive inter- mediate ring. Around the pole-shoes an electrical excita- tion coil is arranged for moving an armature which is slidable in the pole-shoes. Pole-shoes, intermediate ring and coil are integrally interconnected by a connect- ing member of synthetic material. The armature can be connected, for example, to a recording pin of a printing device. As a result of the use of the connecting member of synthetic material, the number of operations required for assembling the electromagnet is reduced.
