ELECTROMAGNETIC CLUTCH HAVING A STRUCTURE FOR REDUCING METALLIC COLLISION AND NOISE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electromagnetic clutch according to the present invention includes a rotor having a friction surface and an armature plate hav- ing a friction surface. The two friction surfaces face each other. An annular friction member made of non-metallic material is fixedly disposed an either the radial outermost friction surface of the rotor or the radial outermost friction surface of the armature plate, thereby eliminating metallic collisions between the two outermost friction surfaces and reducing offensive noise for automobile passengers.
