The improvement is in an electromagnetic door lock device which is connected to the underside of the top of a door frame. An armature is attracted to the energized electromagnet and is connected to the top of the door for movement between a resting unlocked position directly on top of the door and an upwardly extending locked position adjacent the underside of the energized electromagnet. The armature which has a protrusion extending from one or both of the two opposite sides and the electromagnet carries one or a pair of tab plates connected to one or both of the opposite ends of the electromagnet and having a depending tab which intercepts the armature only when the latter is in the upwardly extended position, so as to lock the door shut. The improvement also includes a pair of depending tabs on each tab plate defining a preferably rectangular notch therebetween, which notch extends up from the bottom of the plate and is substantially wider than the preferably rectangular protrusion and is adapted to receive it to lock it in place. The two tabs of each tab plate are disposed predetermined distances from the vertical centerline of the tab plate so that the relative position of the tabs are adjustable by reversing the tab plate. The protrusions can have carrying width and be removably attached to the armature. The brackets and tab plates can be integral with or without the electromagnet.
L'amélioration découlant de la présente invention consiste en un dispositif de verrouillage électromagnétique pour porte qui est connecté à la face inférieure du haut d'un cadre de porte. Une armature est attirée vers l'électro-aimant sous tension et est connectée au haut de la porte afin de se déplacer entre une position de repos non verrouillée où elle se trouve directement sur le haut de la porte et une position de verrouillage verticale près du côté inférieur de l'électro-aimant sous tension. L'armature qui comporte une partie saillante s'étendant à partir d'un ou deux côtés opposés et de l'électro-aimant porte deux plaques reliées à une ou deux extrémités opposées de l'électro-aimant et ayant une languette qui y est rattachée et qui intercepte l'armature seulement lorsque cette dernière est déployée vers le haut, de façon à verrouiller la porte. L'amélioration consiste aussi en deux languettes rattachées à chaque plaquette qui délimitent une entaille, de préférence rectangulaire, entre elles, cette entaille va du bas de la plaque et est substantiellement plus large que la partie saillante de préférence rectangulaire et est conçue pour recevoir cette même partie afin de la bloquer en position. Les deux languettes de chaque plaque sont disposées à des distances prédéterminées de la ligne centrale de la languette pour que la position relative des languettes soit réglable en renversant la plaque. Les parties saillantes peuvent avoir des largeurs portantes et être fixées de manière non permanente à l'armature. Les supports et les plaques peuvent être intégrés ou non à l'électro-aimant.
