The present invention relates to an electromagnetic piston engine capable of producing driving power by a reciprocal movement of a piston in a cylinder by electromagnetic force. The present invention has the objects to provide the electromagnetic piston engine which can do without a variety of resistance inherent in internal combustion piston engines, which reduces the weight corresponding to a rotary assembly portion to a smaller value even if a great output is produced, which can be readily employed together with power transmission mechanisms and so on for use with conventional internal combustion piston engines, and which has a high efficiency in enemy consumption. The electromagnetic piston engine is provided with the cylinder and the piston made each of a magnetic material as well as with as the cylinder electromagnet having the inner wall of the cylinder magnetizable to a one magnetic pole and with the piston magnetization unit for magnetizing a portion of the piston engageable with the cylinder to a single magnetic pole in a fixed manner. The magnetization of the cylinder electromagnet generates magnetically attracting force between the cylinder and the piston to cause the piston to move in a one direction and thereafter magnetically repellent force to transfer the piston in the opposite direction. This series of the actions are repeated to provide a continual reciprocal movement of the piston.

L'invention porte sur un moteur à piston électromagnétique produisant une force d'entraînement à partir du mouvement alternatif d'un piston dans un cylindre sous l'effet de forces électromagnétiques. On élimine ainsi les différentes sortes de résistances des moteurs à combustion interne classiques et on réduit le poids des parties tournantes tout en tirant du moteur une forte puissance. On peut utiliser une transmission de type classique pour ce type de moteur avec un rendement élevé. Les cylindres et pistons sont faits de matériaux magnétiques. Le moteur comporte un électroaimant cylindrique dont l'un des pôles magnétiques constitue la paroi intérieure du cylindre, et un magnétiseur de piston qui magnétise en permanence la partie du piston placée dans le cylindre pour créer un pôle magnétique unique. Le piston se déplace dans un sens sous l'effet de la force d'attraction magnétique entre le cylindre et le piston puis dans l'autre sens sous l'effet de la force de répulsion résultant de l'inversion d'excitation de l'électroaimant du cylindre. Les forces d'attraction et de répulsion, produites alternativement de manière répétée, maintiennent le piston en mouvement alternatif continu.
