Abstract of the Disclosure A method of forming electrically conductive particles for use as a conductive filler in a resin matrix for electromagnetic shielding use, wherein the method comprises heating an aluminum silicon alloy core silver plated particle for from about 2 to about 8 hours at a temperature range from about 150°C. to about 300°C., and further comprising treating the particles at a temperature of from about 300°C. to about 600°C. in a non-oxidizing atmosphere for a time period at least sufficient to reach desired tempera- ture to enhance corrosion resistant properties of the particles.
