ABSTRACT Organic electron donor compounds for use in electrophotographic constr- uctions tend to suffer from problems of molecular weight non-uniformity and oxi- dation. Bis-benzocarbazole derivatives have been found to resist the oxidation and oligomerization which are a source of these problems. The bis-benzocarbazole derivative is an electrically active donor compound of the formula Image where X is a group selected from Image wherein R and Y are independently selected from the group consisting of alipha- tic, aromatic, and mixed aliphatic-aromatic groups.
