ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A bipotential electron gun for cathode ray tubes comprising an arrangement of a cathode, a control electrode, and an accelerating electrode, a first anode and a second anode such that the second anode is formed with windows in its large diameter cylindrical portion and the large diameter end portion of the first anode is mounted within the large diameter cylindrical portion and is fixedly supported by an insulating support member that extends through the windows such that the first anode is firmly supported and coaxially mounted between the first anode and the second anode which form the principal lens in a secure manner.
