ELECTRON GUN IMPROVEMENT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an improved planar elec- trode member for use in an in-line multi-beam cathode ray tube electron gun assembly. The improved electrode is a substantially planar one-piece member having a plurality of apertures therein. The side portions of the member have longitudinal strengthening bends formed therealong in conjunction with a plurality of rib em- bossments spatially formed as traversals crossing the member to join the side oriented bends thereby pro- viding improved strengthening to the structure. A concurrently filed application assigned to the assignee of this application issued September 20, 1977 and bears U.S. Patent No. 4,049,991.
