A portable electronic apparatus comprises display means including a screen (2) and configured to be contemporaneously responsive to display control signals from a plurality of electronic modules (6, 7) so that the screen (2) is shared by said modules. Thus, the modules (6, 7) are separately responsible for data/signal processing functions and the display means is provided so that the different data/signal processing functions of the modules (6, 7) can share the display (2). This is different from the case of a portable computer with an anciliary card because, in the conventional portable computer, the computer's microprocessor generates the display control signals related to the operation of the anciliary card.
Selon cette invention, un appareil électronique portable comprend un dispositif d'affichage comportant un écran (2) et configuré pour réagir en temps réel aux signaux de commande de l'écran provenant de plusieurs modules électroniques (6, 7), de manière à ce que l'écran (2) soit partagé entre ces modules. Les modules électroniques (6, 7) réagissent séparément aux fonctions de traitement données/signaux; un dispositif d'affichage permet aux différentes fonctions de traitement de données/de signaux des modules (6, 7) de partager l'écran (2). L'objet de l'invention diffère d'un ordinateur portable équipé d'une carte auxiliaire en ce que dans l'ordinateur portable standard le microprocesseur génère des signaux de commande d'affichage liés au fonctionnement de la carte auxiliaire.
