An electronic automated court docketing system that permits documents to be electronically and manually filed. The invention supplies evidence of the time and date that a document was filed with the court. This invention also validates and processes payment and generates a paper copy of the file. When needed, a docket number is supplied. The foregoing is advantageous to the court because the court may accept filings during all hours of the day while knowing the exact date and time that the document was filed. The validation and processing of payment also relieves the court of an administrative burden.
